“It should be good products. Period. The rest
is strategy.”
Håkan is the entrepreneur with over three decades in
import and trade industry behind him. With extensive experience in purchasing,
production and international supplier relations, he saw an early
opportunity to do something different in beauty.
In 2014, he founded Glam of Sweden with a clear idea:
to make makeup more accessible – without compromising on quality.
“We were inspired by the idea of making beauty smarter.
Less hassle. More accessible. And a price that makes more people dare to try.”
When Glam was launched, a new concept was introduced
for the industry – Pick & Mix in the grocery trade. Think snacks, but with
makeup. The strategy was simple but brave: to place high-quality makeup where
customers already are.
“We wanted to be close. Immediately. Inspiring but
simple. Very good products at a very good price.”
It was never about being the cheapest – but about
to prioritize correctly. Through smart choices in materials, packaging and logistics
creates space to put resources where they make the biggest difference: in formulation,
quality and function.
“We want to be a brand that feels close. Playful.
Uncontrived. No prestige – just good products.”
Since its inception in 2014, interest in Glam of Sweden has
has grown far beyond Sweden's borders. The concept has received a strong reception
internationally, largely due to its simplicity, clarity and profitability.
“Our concept is unique. It is easy to implement,
easy to understand – and it creates very good margins per selling square meter
for the buyer.”
The Pick & Mix model makes it possible for trade
to offer an inspiring beauty range without complex installations
or high entry costs. It's smart use of space, smart
assortment building and a strong business – both for the store and the consumer.
As CEO, Håkan runs the business with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Role: Product Manager

Johanna is one of the people who has been with us the longest.
Glam of Sweden – and it shows. With over a decade of product development behind them,
she is both confident, curious and deeply involved in everything related to the products we
meets customers every day.
For her, Glam of Sweden is about something bigger than makeup.
“Our unique concept means that more people get
opportunity to be creative. To test, play and express yourself – even if you
don't want to or can't put in a lot of money. There's no one else who does it like that.

One of Johanna's strongest driving forces is balance.

A role in the middle of it all
As product manager, Johanna moves between several
worlds at the same time. She works closely with toxicologists and factories, leading
product development projects and is responsible for documentation – but is also a
obvious part of the whole.
“Something is happening all the time. One day it’s
no two are alike. We are a small company, so you sit on many chairs –
and can be included everywhere.”
She describes a work environment where trust is central:
“I get to influence a lot. People trust me
and I get to say what I think.”

Olivia combines creativity with deep product knowledge.
As a trained makeup artist with several years of experience in the cosmetics trade
She has met hundreds of clients with different skin types, styles and needs.
During her time at Glam of Sweden, she has also worked as a salesperson.
and was responsible for our southern district, where she built close relationships with several
of our important buyers – at the same time as she met the end customer in store.
This is where her basic philosophy was formed:
“There is no right or wrong in makeup. Makeup should
be personal, playful and empower the wearer.”
For Olivia, beauty is about confidence – not trends.
And about always listening to what the customer actually needs.
From customer meeting to ingredient geekery
What makes Olivia unique is the combination of practicality
experience, business understanding and technical curiosity.
She has worked closely with the development of GLAM's products,
where insights from stores, purchasing meetings and customer dialogue meet her great interest
for formulations and ingredients.
“I am a self-proclaimed ingredient nerd. I enjoy reading
INCI lists to understand how and why a product performs – both directly
and over time.”
For her, it's not enough for a product to sell well.
